John Paul was raised in California of Eurasian parents with a military retired father and artist for a mother. He grew up with seven brothers and sisters and was the family photographer.
After his family moved to New York, he left for London and learned haircutting with Vidal Sassoon (the man not the company). He still cuts hair, takes pictures, practices his craft.
John Paul now works mostly in New York, Paris, London and Milan.
But he still travels to Amsterdam, California, Florida, Japan, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Spain, Sweden for inspiration. He stays quiet, unpublished, and ever-evolving as an artist.
Lately, he is interested in both analog and digital graphics, photography, and art directing (image and text). He still keeps a hand-written as well as digital journal.
